Label Printing
A label is a small layout: text, QR codes, Code-128, filled in from the record it belongs to. Draw the template once, watch it render live, and print it at the size you drew. The labels below are the app's own preview, showing real renders.
The real label-preview component — a faithful raster of the print output.
Templates
A label is a little layout
A template is a tree of elements (text, boxes, QR codes, Code-128 barcodes, images and lines) styled with flexbox-like properties. Direction, gap, padding, alignment: the same vocabulary you lay pages out with, so elements stay aligned by construction, every time the record changes.

Fields
One template, every part
Fields interpolate from the record: {{ name }}, {{ ipn }}, a QR of the part's placement URL. The template stays generic and each print fills in the part at hand, so one layout covers the microcontroller and the whole resistor drawer alike.

Sizes
Stock from a catalogue
Label sizes come from a catalogue of known stock. Munbyn 4 × 6 inch and 2 × 3 inch stock at 300 DPI ship built in; anything else you run is a custom size you add in settings.

Preview
Rendered live while you edit
The editor shows a live SVG preview that follows every change, so a long MPN's truncation or a cramped QR shows up before you spend any stock. When you just need a picture of the label, export the same render as a PNG.
Real QR + Code128 via bwip-js — the same engine the app prints with.
Exact-size PDF
What prints is what you designed
The PDF export embeds the rendered bitmap at its exact physical size. A 4 × 6 inch label leaves the printer at 101.6 × 152.4 mm, with no scale-to-fit surprises and no barcode quietly stretched to fill a page.
Thermal printers
Mono mode, for printers that only know black
A thermal head has no grey. Mono mode produces clean 1-bit output, every pixel black or white, so QR modules and bar edges come out sharp under the thermal head.
Batch
Many parts, one document
Select the parts that need labels and the batch prints as one document. Restocking a drawer of forty parts is a single print job.

Scan
The QR closes the loop
The QR on a label encodes the record's placement URL. Scan any label and the app opens that part at that shelf, in the same location tree the inventory pages use, so a sticker on a bin is a working link back into the database.
