Pin ↔ Pad Mapping
For every component, Sideband checks the symbol's pins against the footprint's pads. Most rows come back a green tick; that's the product doing its job. The one that turns amber is the pin you caught before tape-out.

The check
Both halves of the part, one table
Each row pairs a symbol pin with the footprint pad that shares its designator. Pin name and electrical name sit on one side, pad shape and pad layer on the other, with a status at the end. Rows sort numerically, then alphabetically, so pin 2 sits before pin 10 and A1 stays with its bank.

Mismatches
The amber row you want to meet early
A pin with no pad to land on, or a pad no pin drives, gets an amber warning instead of a green tick, and the summary spells it out: 3 pins without matching pads. A truncated land pattern shows up as a row in the table while the part is still in the library, hours before it reaches the assembled board.

Multi-footprint
Each footprint answers for itself
A component with several footprints checks each one on its own. The hand-solder variant can pass clean while the reflow variant flags a missing pad, so you know exactly which land pattern needs the fix.

Read-only by design
It checks and leaves your library untouched
The table never writes to your library. Fix the symbol or footprint in the editor and the table re-checks. The same check sits inside the component editor as its own tab (Mod+2), so the part is verified in the window you build it in.
